05/11/2006 | W H Malcolm saTISSfied with anti-siphon

Sales of TISS’ anti-siphon devices show no signs of abating after W H Malcolm announced they were fitting their entire fleet of vehicles with TISS’ “Standard” anti-siphon device.

W H Malcolm’s Fleet Engineer, Steve Sugden, made the decision to fit the entire fleet after he assessed four competing anti-siphons and subsequently selected the TISS system.

Mr Sugden commented: ‘After evaluating a number of devices, I found that the TISS unit was the best engineered anti-siphon on the market.  Since purchasing the systems I have found them to be easy to fit and highly effective in preventing fuel theft’.

TISS now supply their anti-siphons to most of the top companies that featured in the Motor Transport’s Top 100.  Other companies that fit TISS anti-siphons include Exel, Wincanton, Christian Salvesen, NYK Logistics and Gist.

Launched earlier this year, sales of TISS’ “Standard” anti-siphon have surpassed the 2,000 units in less than six months.  With a neck measuring just 2 inches long, it is the shortest anti-siphon device on the market so it is the most effective in preventing fuel theft. It can be fitted in less than one minute and costs just £64, which makes it an attractive fuel theft deterrent for HGV operators.

TISS Sales Director, Ryan Wholey, was pleased with the announcement: ‘W H Malcolm’s decision to equip their fleet with our Standard anti-siphon illustrates the extent of fuel siphoning in the UK.  In addition, they have given our anti-siphon a massive endorsement by selecting it ahead of other credible units’.
